Premier Is in Thisted is Denmark’s largest ice cream dairy with a leading position in the manufacturing of high-quality ice cream products. The dairy — one of the eldest in Denmark — was founded in 1933 by the dairy technician Sigurd Sørensen, who was among the first in the country to make ice cream.
Ever since 1933, the company’s mission has been the production of high-quality ice cream with a focus on craftsmanship, tradition and the finest natural ingredients. The products of Premier Is are sold under the well-known brands Mejerigaarden, Gammeldags Flødeis, Premier Is, Polar Is and Underground.
Premier Is has been a part of the Food Union Group since 2015.
