2. General information
We, Food Union, process certain information collected by our website www.foodunion.com (the “Website”) about individuals, such as your name, IP address, telephone number, e-mail address and information included in your messages received using a contact form or through hotline phone. All this information will be hereinafter called as “Personal data”.
We will not use Personal data for any purpose incompatible with the purposes outlined here or permitted by you or required by law.
Providing Personal data to us is voluntary. However, if you do not provide certain information (e.g. your e-mail address), we may not be able to accomplish some of the purposes outlined in this notice (e.g. giving feedback to your message – question, complaint or suggestion).

In some cases, Food Union Companies may act as joint data controllers, however, in general, each Food Union Company is solely responsible for activities it performs towards its customers or other persons’ Personal data and activities of its third-party service providers. Other Companies shall not be held liable for these activities. The Companies, however, remain jointly liable in respect of common activities.
The Website and the Hotline service is maintained by Food Union member company located in European Union – Rīgas piena kombināts AS.

- analyze our products, services, customer satisfaction, and the market;

Our legitimate interests are development of our products and services, ensuring compliance with our internal regulations and legal acts, promotion of our products and protection of Food union group and each Company’s reputation.

Your Personal data will be forwarded to the appropriate Food Union group company if the message is addressed to that company or if it applies to products or services of that company.
Your Personal data will be shared with third-party service providers (e.g. call centre services, information technology services, e-mail delivery services, legal advisory and other services). These third parties will be supplied with or will have access to Personal data for the purpose of providing these services to us. These third parties provide services based on written agreement.

Your Personal Data will be stored only as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned above. If a judicial action is initiated, the Personal data may be stored until the end of such action, including any potential periods for appeal, and will then be deleted. If the legal acts require mandatory storage of your data, we will follow the respective rules.
