Food Union has expanded the range of “Valmiera” brand products that have been loved through generations with four new products. “Valmiera” Greek (Grieķu) yogurt with 0% and 2% fat contents for those who favor leaner products, and universal “Valmiera” Fit&Protein yogurt with 37 grams of protein and 0% and 2% fat for those who choose protein-rich products.

While approaching the goal to offer healthy products with high added value to consumers, Latvia’s leading dairy company Food Union has expanded the range of “Valmiera” brand products that have been loved through generations with four new products. “Valmiera” Greek (Grieķu) yogurt with 0% and 2% fat contents for those who favor leaner products, and universal “Valmiera” Fit&Protein yogurt with 37 grams of protein and 0% and 2% fat for those who choose protein-rich products. Investments in launch of the new products in the market reach EUR 60,000.

All of the new “Valmiera” products – Greek Yogurts and Fit&Protein yogurts – are made of the highest quality Latvian-made milk, adding special lactic acid bacteria. These are 100% natural products without added sugar, and therefore they are appropriate for a broad range of people.

“The global nutrition and healthy lifestyle trends show that popularity of protein-rich products is growing. Therefore we have launched two new product lines with high protein contents. People who favor leaner dairy products will enjoy the Greek yogurt – it will be an excellent breakfast dish, and also as a leaner alternative to sour cream in different meals. Sporty people who wish to ensure more natural proteins in their daily meals will like Fit&Protein,” said Ilona Jaroša, Food Union brand manager.

Greek yogurt – ideal for health and slimming

The new “Valmiera” Greek yogurt is prepared using a special milk processing technology, and as a result it has obtained a very dense and creamy structure, saturated and slightly sour flavor. It is rich in calcium and protein that take care of metabolic control in the body. Thus, it is especially good for people who follow healthy lifestyle principles and take care of their body.

At the same time, the Greek yogurt will help to fight stress. It is appropriate for people with diabetes as the high protein contents help to maintain a stable sugar level in the blood. Besides the dietary features, “Valmiera” Greek yogurt can be broadly used in culinary – as the foundation for breakfast and healthy smoothies, as well as in desserts, dressings and salads.

Fit&Protein yogurt for strong body and energetic life

Universal “Valmiera” Fit&Protein yogurt has been created for the joy of active lifestyle lovers, musclemen and athletes. The product contains 37 grams of natural milk protein that not only builds muscles, but also has a positive effect on bones, heart and improves memory.

Thanks to the high protein contents the new Fit&Protein yogurt is a good way to sooth hunger or regain strength. It can be used excellently not only at all mealtimes, but also in main courses or as a healthy snack before or after exercise.

The new “Valmiera” yogurts are already available at Maxima, Mego, Stockmann, Elvi, Beta, Aibe chain stores and other smaller retail stores, and starting from May also at Rimi, Prisma and Skai stores.
